Use Solar Lighting in your home and garden to help save money on your bills

You can use solar lighting around your home and garden in a variety of ways. You could use solar lights on your patio or in the garden to give you lighting in the evening, without the expense of having to lay power cables. You could also use solar energy to power your security lights, with a solar security light.

The lights are powered by a photoelectric cell on top that converts sunlight into electricity. This is then used to charge a battery. When dusk falls, the light switches on and can be powered by the battery for 6 – 12 hours, depending on how much the lights battery was charged.

The same principle is used for security lights, they are charged during the day, but instead off switching on at dusk, they have a motion sensor that switch on the light when something is detected in its range.

With solar lights you have to ensure you place then in a position that will give them maximum light during the day, but as I said you do not have to run cables around your garden or home.
